Cat Boarding

Boarding your cat when you’re away can be a daunting prospect. Cats are fickle creatures who can easily become stressed when taken out of the comfort zone. You need to know they’ll be in a safe place where they can enjoy home comforts as well as close supervision while you’re away. At Companion Animal Hospital Wicker Park, we provide cat boarding with all the amenities and an attentive staff to help your kitty feel safe and cared for.

Our Cat Boarding Services

With our cat boarding services, we aim to create a relaxing, low-stress environment for our feline guests. For their ultimate comfort, our cat accommodations are located in their own zone free of any dogs or other animals. Furthermore, they’ll enjoy the following amenities:

  • Cozy enclosures lined with soft bedding to snuggle up in
  • Clean, climate-controlled environment
  • Fresh water always available
  • Feedings given on a schedule you provide*
  • Caring attention from our cat-loving staff
  • Supervision by a veterinarian
  • Bath and nail trim, if requested
  • Toys and bedding can be brought from home (while we try our best to keep your cat’s things together, we are not responsible for any lost items.)

*Please keep in mind that we can provide food for your cat, but often, it is best to bring their diet from home. Being in an unfamiliar environment can cause stomach upset, and having their familiar food from home can help them relax and eat normally.

Medically Trained Staff and Veterinarian Supervision

All our feline guests benefit from veterinarian supervision and attention from a trained staff during our regular hours. If your cat experiences any medical issues during their stay, we’ll be able to provide prompt medical attention. Additionally, if your cat has any special needs such as daily medication, we’re more than capable of giving them the care they need. Please bring your cat’s medication with you, in its original container, with clear instructions.

Pick-up and Drop-off

We are conveniently open 5 days a week and pick-up/drop-off can happen any during our regular hours. Please keep in mind that we are closed on Sundays, and you will not be able to pick-up or drop-off your pet that day. If you need to pick-up/drop-off your pet outside of our normal hours, please contact us ahead of time so we can discuss your options.

Cat Boarding Requirements

Our main priority is to keep all our guests happy and healthy throughout their stay. To meet this goal, we do have a few requirements your cat will need to meet in order to stay with us. These include:

Up to date on:

  • Rabies Vaccine*
  • Feline distemper (FVRCP)*
  • Leukemia (recommended for outdoor cats)

*Rabies and both canine distemper and feline distemper are core vaccines for dogs and cats.

Pet Boarding Services in Chicago, IL

Your cat must be fully vaccinated before their boarding date. If they’ve received vaccinations at another hospital, please be sure to bring in a copy of their vaccination records with you at drop-off.
